As national Data Competence Center Come2Data concentrates mainly on application-driven data literacy education, mainly in research and academic teaching, but in the long term also in the realm of administration and the interested public, further down the road also in a economy setting. To this end, we currently focus on the federal state of Saxony with the long-term goal of offering our services nationwide.

Please note that a lot of services such as the training materials are currently only offered in German.

However, feel free to contact us via our Helpdesk form with requests in English language.

We will continue to offer our website and other support structures in English as well.

Come2Data brings together existing data science training and support services, expertise, and commitment to research data management, collaborating with the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI), high-performance computing (NHR), and analysis methods for data-intensive interdisciplinary research applications such as artificial intelligence and data modeling. The diverse local, regional, and national activities existing in Saxony are consolidated and synergistically combined into a sustainable support structure.

The basis for this is a comprehensive range of training and support services in the areas of data integration, data management, data analysis, and data publication. Come2Data thus creates an open research, support, networking, and learning center across Saxony, making the consolidated training, support, and knowledge material available to researchers, teachers, and students via a central virtual platform that also serves to raise public awareness.

Come2Data is a center for interdisciplinary data science that is being established at four scientific institutions across Saxony: Dresden University of Technology (project lead and coordination), Chemnitz University of Technology, Saxon State and University Library (SLUB) Dresden, and Leipzig University.

Targeted support for data-driven research

Our goal is to offer a multi-level support system for data problems, strengthen local expertise in research data management (RDM), and create a network that brings together researches and data-experts among them. We advance research by providing the tools and support as well as training for skills required for state-of-the-art data handling.
